On 28 November 2013 the artists in Bulawayo will for the 27th time exhibit contemporary works of art and craft in the annual VAAB 27th annual exhibition 2013 title VISUAL IMPACT – THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE. The exhibition is expected to be officially opened by the president of one of the Rotary clubs in Bulawayo. On the opening night of the exhibition the association honours outstanding works of art through cash and material awards.
The Visual Artist’s Association is a grouping of artists in and around Bulawayo administered by a voluntary committee elected every three years. Since the inception of the association in 1983 VAAB continues with activities that seek to fulfil the vision of the association and has made huge strides in improving the livelihood of the sector in this region and country at large. Over the years VAAB together with partners has managed to survive the test of time hence the artists in Bulawayo are now ready to take the VAAB to another level contemporary and relevant to the present day administration of the group.
Over the 27 years of exhibition we have not managed to celebrate the great artists Bulawayo and the country has, hence this application for your support. We are seeking cash prices for the following categories
