We delighted to see the opening of “Weaving Through Design” a collaborative exhibition of basketry photography and crafts by the creatives of Matabeleland South. The exhibition is highlighting the collaboration between craft producers of the south and Rudo Nondo a fashion designer from Harare on a research internship at the centre. After a series of design and production workshops coupled with mentorship support we are delighted to present the Weaving Through Design exhibition.
Join us at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo on Thursday 3 August 2017 at 1730hrs for the preview, the exhibition features photography by KB Mpofu. We express profound gratitude to the Amagugu for partnering with us in this venture. A hearty thank you also goes to Suqea for sponsoring make up for the model showcasing an ethnic dress on the evening.
