Artist Talk titled: Journey Home –
When: 10th March 2020 at 5:00pm
Where: the studio at National Gallery of Zimbabwe, Bulawayo

Artist, Lauryn Arnott returns to the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, Bulawayo, where she had a studio from the 1989 until 2000. She will present a talk about her life and her work in Africa and Australia. Arnott won the 2006 Association of Commonwealth Universities Art Prize in a competition entitled ….. A Place in the World, with her drawing titled Journey Home, which represents a story of the Zimbabwean Diaspora. Her essay titled Journey Home: suitcase or coffin? with photographic documentation of her drawing was published in a book titled Writers, Writing on Conflict and War in Africa, co-edited by Zimbabwean author, Chenjerai Hove and Nigerian author, Okey Ndibe. Entry is free.
